Canadian Premier Life Insurance Company and Canadian Premier General Insurance Company Welcome New Chief Executive Officer
May 1, Toronto, ON: Canadian Premier Life Insurance Company and Canadian Premier General Insurance Company (‘Canadian Premier’) are pleased to welcome Suzette Huovinen as the company’s Chief Executive Officer, effective today.
Ms. Huovinen joins Canadian Premier from parent company Securian Financial Group, to lead the organization’s growth and expansion in Canada. Ms. Huovinen, a 21-year veteran of the US-based provider of insurance, investment and retirement solutions, most recently held the position of Senior Vice President, Chief Actuary & Chief Risk Officer.

Late last year, Canadian Premier also brought its property & casualty company under the Canadian Premier brand to create a more unified market presence for both its life and P&C businesses.
