September 11, 2023 – TORONTO – Securian Canada, a leading provider of innovative and life-ready insurance solutions, is pleased to announce the promotion of two senior leaders to its newly formed Executive Leadership Team (ELT). Sara Mazhar, Chief Technology Officer and Sharla Postic, Chief Administration Officer, bring their exceptional leadership skills and strategic vision to their respective roles and will be working alongside Nigel Branker, Chief Executive Officer to position the company for future success.

Sara Mazhar has been at the forefront of spearheading technology advancements for Valeyo, Securian Canada’s sister company, for over ten years and is set to leverage this experience in her new role of Chief Technology Officer. Sara will design and execute Securian Canada’s go-to-market technology strategy, optimizing the company’s digital product portfolio. Her extensive technology knowledge, expertise in digital experience and strategic execution skills will be pivotal in ensuring Securian Canada is able to provide a leading experience to its customers and employees.
Sharla Postic, who joined Securian Canada in 2022, has already left an indelible mark overseeing service delivery for the company, and has been instrumental in developing strong and sustainable infrastructure for the organization's new lines of business, including the affinity and disability spaces. This promotion recognizes Sharla’s remarkable dedication and skill in driving growth and performance in core verticals where Securian Canada is looking to disrupt and gain market share. In her new role, Sharla will elevate the customer service experience through her strategic leadership and will extend her oversight to our Facilities and Administration teams.
